2022-02-21
Shanghai, February 18, 2022 - The Consumer Goods Forum's 4th China Day was held in Shanghai on February 17th. Themed "Creating a Common Prosperity Future Together", it brought together members and industry experts from across the Greater China region to share cutting-edge insights and positive change best practices in multiple topics. Dr. Zhang Wenzhong, as a member of CGF China Board of Directors, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech on the theme of "Seize the digital opportunity to create the future of the consumer goods industry".
Dr. Zhang Wenzhong said, "Only by fully embracing digitalization, could we live better in the digital age". Dr. Zhang pointed out that comprehensive digitalization has very clear standards and values in terms of enterprise development stage, applications, the integration of whole industry chain, and closed-loop effect. Through the application of new technology, business digitalization, and supporting business model innovation, it gradually completes the comprehensive digitization of thinking, systems, and organizations. Especially in the integration of the whole industry chain, comprehensive digitalization plays an important role in product development, store management, and user operation. At the same time, it will achieve a closed-loop effect through digital ways to reach users, digital customer acquisition, and achievement of GMV and gross profit, to achieve the comprehensive digitalization and rebuilding a business of its own.
In the IT era, the information-based transformation of the retail industry can only satisfy a single transaction scenario of in-store shopping. However, in the digital technology (DT) era, digital transformation will support multiple transaction scenarios and adapt to a fast-changing market. The evolution from the ERP of the IT era to the SaaS of the DT era has become an inevitable trend.
For the international expansion of cross-border e-commerce enterprises or the digital transformation of global retailers, an advanced third-party SaaS provider is the best choice. Dmall’s Integrated Retail Cloud uses data-driven decision-making to improve the overall end-to-end efficiency of retailers and brand owners. Data, processes, and technologies work together to drive business growth, which can be quickly reused by international retailers.
Dmall’s solutions have been deployed in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Singapore, serving more than 130 well-known retailers including 7-Eleven South China and Metro China, and more than 15,000 stores.
