GlucoVantage® Demonstrates Overweight Inhibiting Effects, NNB’s New Study Reveals

2023-06-25

NNB Nutrition recently conducted a study demonstrating the inhibiting effects of GlucoVantage® on overweight individuals.

Research details:

Building upon previous studies that have established DHB's superior blood glucose control effects, NNB Nutrition conducted new research to investigate the impact of GlucoVantage® combined with exercise on mice with high-fat diets, specifically focusing on its ability to inhibit overweight.

To facilitate the study, five different groups of mice were established, two of which were injected with 26mg of GlucoVantage®. The body weight and subcutaneous adipose tissue weight of the mice were evaluated to assess the weight-reducing effects of GlucoVantage®. Additionally, serum biochemical parameters including triglyceride levels, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and reactive oxygen species (ROS) were analyzed to determine GlucoVantage®'s potential in inhibiting overweight based on serum indexes.

Results::

1. Evaluation of body weight changes:

174db9801c095da8069bb49f4797cc1

Figure 1. Body weight change. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 compared with HFD (high fat diet) group.

*Exercise mice were acclimated on a motor-driven treadmill and ran at 10 m/min for 30 min per day, and 5 days per week for 8 weeks.

Compared to the high-fat group and other groups, the combination of GlucoVantage® and exercise exhibited significant differences, indicating that GlucoVantage®, either alone or combined with exercise, can effectively inhibit overweight.

2. Evaluation of triglyceride (TG) levels:

d8102d9a0f14a512f410995b34df931

Figure 2. Serum lipid metabolism indexes TG *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 compared with HFD group

Compared to the high-fat group, GlucoVantage® alone or in combination with exercise significantly inhibited triglyceride levels (a risk factor for cardiovascular disease).

3. Evaluation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels:

7c82c446694f2399e7761403ffc7c6d

Figure 3. Serum lipid metabolism indexes LDL *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 compared with HFD group.

LDL, often called as "bad cholesterol," exhibited a notable decrease in both the GlucoVantage® and GlucoVantage® combined with exercise groups, as indicated by the study results.

4. Evaluation of reactive oxygen species (ROS):

f1c4fe7c2b23f7720c68c0d2de9541d

Figure 4. Serum antioxidant indexes ROS in mice. #P < 0.05 compared with HFD+exercise group.

ROS levels increase significantly during environmental stress and can cause significant damage to cell structures. Figure 4 demonstrates that the combination of GlucoVantage® and exercise contributes to a decrease in ROS content.

Conclusion:

Taking into account the changes in body weight and serum lipid metabolism indexes, the study confirms that GlucoVantage® effectively inhibits the tendency to become overweight. Furthermore, combining GlucoVantage® with exercise enhances this effect.

These compelling findings pave the way for GlucoVantage® as an effective solution to combat overweight and inspire individuals seeking to achieve healthier lifestyle.
